Non-Standard Complex Spine Training Program:
The Department of Neurosurgery Non-Standard Complex Spine Fellowship Program is now accepting applications from qualified applicants who have graduated from an international residency training program in either Orthopaedic or Neurological Surgery (please note this program is exclusive to J1 Visa trainees) for the 2025 - 2026 Academic Year. Please direct your Letter of Interest, Curriculum Vitae (there must be no gaps in your CV from the start of undergraduate training to present), Proof of Passing USMLE Exams on the first attempt, valid ECFMG Certificate, and three letters of recommendation to Complex Spine Fellowship Program Manager, Giselle De La Rosa, giselledlr@arizona.edu for review and consideration by the Fellowship Recruitment Committee. Fellowship Program participants are selected and notified in mid to late Fall.
CAST Accredited Complex Spine Training Program:
The Department of Neurosurgery CAST accredited Complex Spine Fellowship is accepting applications for the 2026 - 2027 Academic Year. This program is available to either a Neurosurgery Residency Program Graduate, or a Neurosurgery Residency Program Participant, with the appropriate approvals in place.
Enfolded Fellowship Applicants
Qualified applicants will be current residents within a Neurosurgery Residency Training Program, who will be in their seventh year at the time of training, will be in good academic standing from an ACGME/LCME-accredited neurosurgery residency training program, with both ABNS and ACGME written approval for the enfolded Complex Spine Fellowship experience to apply toward neurosurgery residency training requisites, and Institutional Program Letters of Agreement are fully executed between the two training programs. Please direct your Letter of Interest, Curriculum Vitae (there must be no gaps in your CV from the start of undergraduate training to present), Proof of Passing USMLE Exams on the first attempt, valid ECFMG Certificate (if applicable), Letter of Support from current residency program director, and three letters of recommendation to Complex Spine Fellowship Program Manager, Giselle De La Rosa, giselledlr@arizona.edu for review and consideration by the Fellowship Recruitment Committee.
Neurological Surgery Resident Graduate Applicants
Qualified applicants will be graduates from an ACGME/LCME accredited neurological surgery residency program and must be eligible to apply for an unrestricted medical license from the Arizona Board of Medical Examiners. Please direct your Letter of Interest, Curriculum Vitae (there must be no gaps in your CV from the start of undergraduate training to present), Proof of Passing USMLE Exams on first attempt, valid ECFMG Certificate (if applicable), three letters of recommendation (one from your residency training program director) to Complex Spine Fellowship Program Manager, Giselle De La Rosa, giselledlr@arizona.edu for review and consideration by the Fellowship Recruitment Committee.
