Pre-Residency General Neurosurgery Fellowship Program

The Department of Neurosurgery is pleased to offer pre-residency fellowship training in the full diverse spectrum of neurological surgery subspecialty care and will include assignment to outpatient clinics, inpatient wards, performance of bedside procedures, Level 1 Neurotrauma care in an emergency room setting, and obtain experience in the neurosurgery operating room.  The pre-residency fellow in neurosurgery will be expected to participate in didactic conferences, as well as research with the goal of contributing to peer reviewed neurosurgery literature during this twelve-month educational experience, located at the Sponsoring Institution, Banner University Medical Center – Tucson Campus.  The Pre-Residency Neurosurgery Fellow will be expected to present a Grand Rounds Lecture to the neurosurgery faculty and fellow house officers. The program is designed to provide an LCME-accredited medical school graduate with experience and expertise in the evaluation, diagnosis, and management of neurological disorders.
